Hello! My name is Shalom but you can call me Sha for short. I went to the University of the Philippines where I took a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics. Unfortunately, I was not able to start any career as regards to my major. I had my first job experience in the US-based call center industry and it lasted for 4 years. Needless to say this part of my life has developed my communication skill in the English language. I have been teaching English as a second language for the past 4 years now. This change of career has enhanced my skill far better than I thought it could have. I have taught in several English academies and camps (face to face tutoring) and 2 years now teaching online for a wide range of student level, that is beginner to advance. As an instructor, I never give up on helping my students to express or let me say to find their own voice in the English language. Well for me, I believe that grammar is just a tool so students should never let grammar change their opinion just because easier sentences are easier to make. I try my best to make my students very comfortable in the class and make things as simple as it should be. My specializations are conversation and pronunciation and I know that I can help my students to achieve American accent when speaking. With proper practice and understanding of the English language, students can definitely achieve their goals in learning. Anyway, I hope to meet you in class. Again, this is T.
