Hi everyone! I am Lei, and I welcome you to the world of learning English in a fun way! I am very blessed that I have the opportunity to share my knowledge in English language and influence others to appreciate its importance through teaching here in KeyEye. My work experiences prepared me well for this profession. My first job, working in an advertising agency, taught me a lot on how to deal with people from different walks of life. I was also trained for a TV hosting job and I also had a stint in a contact center dealing with Americans, in which both of these experiences equipped me to teach English effectively. For the last four years, I worked as a private tutor for pre-schoolers and graders. This is where I honed my skills in teaching. Back in my university days, though I took up Business Management, I already knew I have an innate talent and passion for teaching. I used to tutor my classmates in some subjects where I got free lunches as their treat. Wasn’t it fun? Teaching is a really rewarding profession, especially when you witness the success of your students. Students are diverse. They have different needs, goals, abilities and weaknesses. As a mentor, I keep in mind these key things that I need to know and understand for me to be able to teach effectively. Apart from that, I am always geared with positive attitudes to be the best mentor that I can be. I am fun loving yet goal oriented, optimistic and patient. So worry not, and be comfortable with me, I promise that I will assist you and guide you in your journey to being a competent English speaker. “Learn everything you can, anytime you can, from anyone you can; there will always come a time when you will be grateful you did.” Learning the English language will create bridges to better understand different cultures across the globe, and at the same time it will open doors for more opportunities. Come and learn with me, and maybe you can teach me too on how to prepare my favorite Japanese foods (ramen, yakitori, maki and more!). Again, this is Lei. See you in my class!
